Since 1950, science fiction fans have gathered once a year for Midwestcon, a releaxacon sponsored by the Cincinnati Fantasy Group. When First Fandom was founded, its first activity was a founders meeting at the 1959 Midwestcon. Many members continue to attend Midwestcon each year.
